Is experiential training teambuilding?

Trainers will be the first to expound the virtues of experiential training but so often experiential training is thought to be about teambuilding or outdoor pursuits. Whilst experiential training may have teambuilding as a learning goal and outdoor activities as a learning method, experiential training is much more than that.

So what is experiential training? You could say that experiential training is a learner centred approach which starts with the premise that people learn best from experience.

Others might simply say that experiential training as learning-by-doing.
